How Can I Choose The Right Size For Me?

The fit is mainly determined by the lens width and frame width. To find the perfect fit for your face shape, you can refer to the section below, which includes a full measurement table.

If you already own a pair of glasses that fit you well, you can compare the three numbers engraved on the inside of the left temple (e.g., 46-23-145) with those listed in our guide:

  • Lens width (mm): horizontal width of one lens
  • Bridge distance (mm): space between the two lenses
  • Temple length (mm): length from the front of the frame to the tip

You’ll also find a dedicated sizing chart on each product page to help you understand the fit of that specific model.

Additionally, you can use our Virtual Try-On feature to visualize both the style and the fit of the frame on your face in real time. Our system scales the eyewear to match your facial proportions for an accurate representation of size and shape.

If you are unsure or need more information, feel free to contact us at customercare@tbdeyewear.com or through the contact form on our website. We will be happy to help you find the perfect match!

TBD's Eyewear is available in one size, however, the measurements differ according to the model. The fit is determined based on the width of the lens and the width of the frame. Find the perfect fit for your face shape by following the guide below:

Narrow: For those with a narrow, elongated face and reduced temple width.

Regular: Forehead and chin are well-proportioned and of medium size. Most TBD Eyewear models are made in this size.

Wide: For those with a wide forehead.

If you already have a pair of sunglasses, we suggest you check the measurements engraved inside the left temple and compare them with the Measure Tab below (in millimeters).

How to choose eyewear according to your face shape

Heart

heart-face-shape

Facial features:

  • Wide forehead
  • High, pronounced cheekbones
  • Narrow jaw
  • Narrow, pointed chin

To soften the features of the upper part of the face, we recommend balancing with a rather delicate spectacle shape.

Recommended frames:

Oval

oval-face-shape

This face shape is one of the most popular and also the most versatile.

Balanced proportions specifically characterize the oval face shape:

  • Slightly wide forehead
  • Slightly tapered chin
  • High cheekbones
  • The face has a little curve in its overall shape

An oval face looks good with any type of frame, for this reason, we recommend frames that do not alter the balance of the features.

Recommended frames:

Round

round-face-shape

Facial features:

  • Wide, pronounced cheeks
  • Round chin
  • Delicate contours
  • Short, full-face

We suggest frames that soften the face's width, such as thin frames and angled shapes.

Recommended frames:

Square

square-face-shape

Facial features:

  • Pronounced forehead, jaw, and chin of the same width
  • High cheekbones
  • Face is rather short and wide

For this type of face, we recommend frames that extend and diminish the angle of the face, favouring frames with small lenses and wide temples.

Recommended frames:

Triangle

triangle-face-shape

Facial features:

  • Large forehead
  • Pronounced jawline
  • Pronounced cheekbones
  • Pointed chin

To enhance this face shape, we recommend wide frames with high temples.

For orders shipped outside the European Union, customs duties and taxes are not included at checkout. These charges vary by country and are unfortunately beyond our control, so any additional customs clearance costs must be covered by the customer.

As a reference, here are the approximate duties and VAT for some of our most common destinations:

  • United States: approximately $45
  • United Kingdom: approximately £40
  • Canada: approximately 55 CAD

If the package is not collected and must be returned back to Italy, any customs clearance costs will be deducted from your refund.

What materials are your Frames & Lenses made of?

Our frames are made from bio-acetate, a bioplastic derived from cotton and wood fibers, combined with a plant-based plasticizer. This makes it a high bio-based content material with a lower environmental impact.

All our sun lenses are bio-based, while the default lenses in our optical models are made from bio-nylon, which contains 38% carbon of natural origin.

We also use sustainable materials for our packaging: our cases combine recycled cotton for the outer layer and 100% recycled PET for the inner lining.

The cleaning cloths included with each pair are produced from microfiber derived from recycled PET, combining performance with environmental responsibility.

How should I take care of my eyewear?

To keep your eyewear in the best possible condition, we recommend the following care tips:

  1. Always store your glasses in their case when not in use to protect them from scratches and accidental damage;
  2. Avoid cleaning the lenses with clothing or rough fabrics. Instead, use only the microfiber cloth provided;
  3. Keep your eyewear away from extreme heat sources, such as the dashboard of a car exposed to direct sunlight, as high temperatures may cause the frames to warp or lose their shape;
  4. Avoid wearing your glasses on top of your head like a headband, as this common habit puts excessive pressure on the hinges and may compromise their durability.

By following these steps, you can preserve the quality, comfort, and appearance of your frames for years to come.

What does your warranty cover?

All TBD Eyewear products are covered by a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty covers manufacturing defects under normal use, such as faulty hinges, delamination, or issues with lens coatings.

It does not cover damage resulting from wear and tear, accidents, misuse, improper care or modifications by third parties.

To request a warranty claim, please contact us with valid proof of purchase and clear photos of the product. Our technical team will assess your case and guide you through the next steps.

  • Improper use of eyeglasses may result in discomfort, eye strain, or further vision issues. Contact your eye care provider if you experience any discomfort.
